What is Nia?

When I first saw "Nia" in a body/mind/spirit conference schedule in 2002, I had no idea what it was or how to say it! Was it "Ni-ahh" or "N.I.A.?" My first 8:00am class with co-founders, Debbie Rosas and Carlos Rosas answered that; Nia is "Nee-ah."

Nia is a movement practice founded on 13 theoretical and somatic principles & 52 moves offering the power of choice, joy, and self-direction for fitness and health.
